One evening, Simon was sitting fuming at home, having just been told by one of the country's top literary agents that his own book wouldn't sell because it wasn't about vampires.
He had a big meeting the next day where he was going to present his ideas for an advertising campaign to Yell.com. There was only one recourse, pour a martini and start working on a new book idea.
Barbara was sitting in her garden, lost in one of the most exciting and darkly twisted tales of the year.... and banishing thoughts of work the next day, where she was going to have to listen to some ad agency pitch ideas for the brand she was marketing director for, Yell.com.
She closed the book and wondered how life could be if she escaped from marketing and poured her energy into creating new books even better and more thrilling than the one she was reading.
The next day the two of them met, and through various twists and turns of fate, between them, they realised that they both shared a passion for books, and both believed that there was a common dream they shared.
The result is Thrilling Books
